Preconditions for the installation of STEP 7 Professional 2010 Service Release 2:

STEP 7 Professional 2010
Supported operating systems:

MS Windows XP Professional SP2 or SP3
MS Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 standard edition as workstation
MS Windows 7 32 Bit Ultimate, Professional and Enterprise (Standard installation),
with or without SP1. However, the Windows XP mode under Windows 7 is not released.
MS Windows 7 64 Bit Ultimate, Professional and Enterprise with or without SP1
MS Windows Server 2008 R2 (64 Bit), with or without SP1

Important:

It is not possible to change the operating system if STEP 7 is installed already. Before you change the operating system, you should be sure to uninstall STEP 7 Professional as well as any other installed STEP 7 option packages.
If you wish to change to Windows 7 64 Bit with STEP 7 Professional, you require STEP 7 Professional 2010 SR2.
It is not sufficient to only install the Service Pack 2 for STEP 7 V5.5.

Starting with STEP 7 Professional 2004 and the new licensing concept for STEP 7 Professional, we have been offering a cost-effective Trial License for validation purposes (not for productive use). This DVD enables you to test all the software packages on the DVD for 14 days (from the day of first starting the software). Thereafter, the complete software can be enabled without any further installation for an unlimited period with the Floating License of STEP 7 Professional. Alternatively, you can also enable the above individual software components with their respective Floating Licenses.

The Trial License for STEP 7 Professional replaces the previous Presales Package.
